Osasuna wins first preseason match, 2-0, over Racing de Santander
Los Rojillos defeated Racing de Santander as Ramis made his debut as head coach.
Club Atlético Osasuna defeated Real Racing Club de Santander, 2-0, in the club’s first preseason game of the 2026-27 campaign in Mendigorría. Head coach Luis Miguel Ramis made his Osasuna debut with a win, as second-half goals from forward Raúl García and midfielder Iker Muñoz secured the result.
Osasuna started strong, dominating possession and creating several chances with high pressing from the attacking unit. As the match progressed, Racing pushed forward and began to threaten goalkeeper Aitor Fernández.
After halftime, Osasuna kept up the pressure and broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half. Defender Alejandro Catena sent a long pass to forward Kike Barja on the left flank, who then found Raúl García at the far post for the opening goal. Ramis's side maintained control, and as the match neared its end, Muñoz scored to seal the victory.
Osasuna will now prepare for a five-day training camp in England, where the team will face Ipswich Town and Norwich City.
